On Emma's actual birthday Travis and I took her to Tulsa to celebrate. We ate at Zio's and then visited the EOPC at St. Francis where she was born and spent the first four weeks of her life. I made a thank-you card for the nurses and doctors, so that is what the picture of the card is. One of the nurses offered to take our picture in the entryway of the NICU, where we used to scrub our hands before going to see her. I used stand there and dream of the day we could take her home and it was really nice to come, full circle, five years later. We went to show her where she was born and spent her first month. We showed her where her bed was back then and told her all about our experience there. It turns out we had made it just in time, they were only about a week away from moving to their new unit and would be leaving the old one. We are so thankful to all of the doctors and nurses who worked so hard to make our little girl healthy. Thankful doesn't even begin to describe.
We would like for our friends and family to have a way to stay in touch with us and be able to share our family pictures. Please enjoy!
