Emma turns 3!

Well, it's been almost a week now but I have been having a hard time catching up. The evening of Emma's party the three of us (Emma, Travis and I) got a very yucky tummy bug and were all so sick. I have been behind ever since.

Emma had a wonderful party. So many of our family and friends were here to celebrate her turning 3. She was so excited about seeing everyone and playing with the kids and was thrilled with all of her gifts. We are truly blessed!

I really think that I am going to like the "3's" a whole lot better than the "2's". She is so much fun and can really carry on a conversation. She comes up with the wackiest things! She even knows how to count to 5 in Spanish! She absolutely loves puzzles and her books and has been having so much fun playing dress-up.

She started dance class as a gift from MiMi (Donna) and had her first class last Wednesday. It's a little ballet/tap combo class and she will even have a recital in May on the big stage. She took right to it like a fish to water and cried because she didn't want to leave. I was so proud. She looks adorable in her little dance outfits and tap & ballet shoes.

I am trying to upload all the pictures so I will come back and add them when they are done!

No more paci

Emma has been paci-free for almost a week now! Woohoo! She has asked for it several times but is ok with snuggles instead. It was strange that I was almost sad to throw them away but it's also very freeing and I'm glad it's done.

(And, by-the-way, I did not do that to Emma's paci, I just thought it was a cute picture. haha)

We put her in the doll stroller and Emma had great fun pushing her around the house. Abby looks like she's thinking, "what are you doing to me?"

Travis was gone to Denver and us girls had the house to ourselves. I told Emma she could sleep with me and Abby since Daddy was gone. I think they look so precious sleeping there!

clipped from craftydaisies.com Making a onesie into a shirt March 29th, 2007 by Heather My daughter is really tall and thin, so she outgrows her onesies in length before she outgrows them in body size. I hated the fact that she would only wear them for a couple of months and they were still in nearly new condition, but they were no longer useful. I decided to make some into shirts for her, so that she can get more wear and use out of them. I started with a onesie that was too small lengthwise. I then cut off the bottom snap part right above the leg elastic. I used a ruler to make sure I cut it straight across. I finished the edge of the shirt using the rolled hem on my serger. However, if you don’t have a serger you could simply finish the edge with a zig zag stitch and then sew a hem. And there you have it - a cute shirt that can be used for a little bit longer!
