Well, it seems that I am back here in this position again. Although, thankfully, the circumstances are different. I started having some swelling and high blood pressures so I have been told to just lay in bed and take it easy. Some pretty ugly emotions came out when I encountered this. Having spent 10 weeks on bed rest while pregnant with Emma, it just touches a nerve with me. But, I am thankful that it is different this time. All of my lab work is normal, the baby is doing fine and so far things are staying manageable. I am 34 weeks, will be 35 weeks tomorrow and I guess that makes me about 36 days away from the due date. However, I have a feeling that if my blood pressures don't cooperate we will be having our son sooner than later.
The good news is that as I type this my swelling is almost gone and my blood pressure is doing much better after taking some medication. I have a check-up on Wednesday so we'll know more about our plan forward then.
We would like for our friends and family to have a way to stay in touch with us and be able to share our family pictures. Please enjoy!

Happy 6th Birthday Emma!
Today my baby turns 6! It seems hard to believe that six years has flown by so quickly but here we are. This time six years ago I was still in labor with her and she wouldn't arrive for another 8 hours or so. I had endured 10 weeks of bedrest to get her here safely and it was the culmination of all that hard work. After she was born I felt such relief and yet still was anxious for what was to come. We knew she would need surgery and we knew we were in for a long haul with the NICU. But, we were so thrilled to finally have our baby girl here.
She has been a constant light in our loves. I never get tired of teller her "I love you" nor from hearing her tell me the same thing. She is an amazing big sister and I know she will be equally amazing with her new brother when he comes. She loves to learn, to read and to laugh!
She can read on a first grade level at the beginning of Kindergarten, she says her favorite subject is math, she loves to sit and write or doodle in her journals.
Here is a list of her favorites, asked of her this very instant:
Music - Taylor Swift
Color - Pink
Food - Fruit
TV Show - Hannah Montana
TV character - Hannah Montana
Restaurant - El Cabrito
Song - "My" by Taylor Swift
Band - Big Time Rush
Pastime or Hobby -Play with Caesen
Friend - Caesen
Toys - Barbies
Channel - Nickolodeon
Favorite Disney Channel Show - Fish Hooks
and what she wants to be when she grows up - a housekeeper
Some of those were a surprise to me, haha!
She is a one of a kind that's for sure and we would not know what to do without her in our lives!

Emma's First Kindergarten Parent/Teacher Conference
I went to meet with Emma's teacher, Ms. Wrinkle, this morning and got a report on what Emma has been up to at school. As it turns out, she's a really smart little girl (which we already knew). She is already reading on a 'end-of-the-year' first grade level! She is really thriving in school and our hope is that she never tire of learning. We are extremely fortunate to have Ms. Wrinkle as her teacher because I'm not sure how many other teachers would challenge her and advance her as much as she does.
So, yay for Emma! We love our smart girl!

26 weeks pregnant with #3
Well, time flies and gets away from me quickly! I am already 26 weeks pregnant and hit a small speed bump yesterday. I strained an abdominal muscle and started having contractions. With medication, hydration and rest it's all getting better by now.
Since my last post we also have found out we are going to be blessed with a BOY! I'm excited and anxious to have a son. I know he will be a blessing in our lives. The girls are so very excited about having a brother and I know they will both be great help.
We still do not have a name for our son but we are getting closer.

19 weeks with #3
I haven't posted an update on baby #3 in a long while. I am 19 weeks and doing well. We will get to find out the sex this month. I am feeling the baby move a lot more now and am finally recognizable as a pregnant woman to the general public.
I'm feeling really good with waves of nausea overtaking me still at times. My weight and growth have been normal and I have so much more energy this time around, I'm sure due to being more generally active with the dance studio.
I know I will post a record of what the baby is as soon as I find out. We are all anxious to know!

Not Now Mom
Abby asked if she could help me do the laundry. Of course I said yes, what am I crazy? So we go to fold laundry and I asked her to take a couple washcloths to her bathroom. She was playing with the cell phone at that time and responded in her most big girl voice, "umm, not now mom, I'm texting my friends."
She's 3 people! This girls' growing up waaaaay too fast!

Totem Pole Park
I took the girls to Totem Pole Park in Foyil, OK. We haven't been there in a little more than a year but the girls love to explore the totem poles and then go for a walk on their nature trails. It's a great place to go!

Uncle Brett's Wedding
The girls got to be in Uncle Brett and Aunt Amy's wedding. They were flower girls and looked so pretty. They had the biggest smiles while coming down the aisle. It was great and I am so proud of my little brother and we are very happy to have an Aunt Amy now! It was a little rough to have to do all the prep and travel while experiencing the worst morning sickness I've ever had. But, it was all worth it and I can say that the pickled mushrooms at their reception were the very first thing I have felt wonderful about eating. i had four plates of them!!! I have got to find out where they came from.
And, the pregnant lady ends this post talking about food. lol.

Sleepiness
At this point, my girls pretty much live at the dance studio. Abby got really quiet one day and I figured out why when I saw her laying on the couch in the lobby. In some ways, I love that she feels comfortable enough to fall asleep there and yet feel bad that she is required to be there so much. It's a good thing she loves to dance!
#3 Coming in January!
We are happily expecting our third baby at the end of January. I am currently 9 weeks along and have been very sick so far. I am very much looking forward to feeling better! The girls are excited and really thrilled about having a new baby in the house. The go back and forth on whether they would prefer a boy or a girl but either way they are telling me that they will be very big helpers. More updates will follow in the weeks and months to come!
Recital Time!
We had been getting ready for our dance recital that was held on June 5th. I was taking some promo pics of the girls and thought this one turned out so cute! Abby performed to "Bushel and A Peck" and Emma's costume was for her performance of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun".
Redneck Swimming Pool
It's getting warmer now and I thought it would be fun to let the girls play in the water. It was very cold water but they had fun anyway.
Abby turns 3!
In celebration of Abby's 3rd birthday, we all met at Incredible Pizza in Tulsa. Abby had such a fantastic time! She loves playing the games and loves pizza so it was naturally a big hit with her. I think everyone had a great time as well. Emma got to ride the go-carts with MiMi and play mini golf with her Dad. Travis and I like to play ski ball and won a lot of tickets for them to "buy" prizes with. We are in awe that our baby is 3 already!
