Chopsticks Anyone?
Abby is eating some ice cream and even though I gave her a spoon, she chose to eat it with chopsticks. It's her choice! Although, I have a feeling it's going to take her a while to eat it!
Some things I remembered
This morning I was laying in bed and remembered a couple things Abby says:
1. We pass Shout N Sack probably 4-5 times a day, not to mention it's just right in front of Daddy's office. Abby asks to go there all the time and calls it, "Sack N Sack".
2. She calls 'walkie-talkies', "talkie-talkies".

Emma fell at recess
Emma's teacher called me today to let me know she had fallen on the playground and scraped her face pretty badly. Here is a picture of her poor sweet face. She really seems ok with it considering she's also dealing with her bum lip.
Abby got to play "only child" today while we were in Tulsa for her doctor visit. After we were done we went to Woodland Hills Mall and she played on the playground and then rode the carousel and then we ate lunch in the food court. She really loved the carousel, she got to ride a horse named, "Mustang Sally" (which is neat to her because she calls all of her babies Sally and calls herself Sally when she and Emma are playing pretend) and Sally had a pink and purple saddle with butterflies so she thought it was the greatest! While riding she said, "Mama, this place is so fun!" It was really sweet.
So the pictures are of her in the playground on a pig, her riding Sally and her eating a giant piece of mall pizza, which she ate all of but the crust!
Abby's ENT Checkup
There is a third picture but after many tries it still won't load on here. Oh well. She saw her ENT doctor, Dr. Vaidya yesterday and also had a repeat hearing test done. It revealed that she still has some moderate hearing loss due to the fluid behind her ear drums that won't drain. So, next Tuesday, the 23rd of Feb. she is going to have surgery to have tubes put in and have her adnoids taken out. It will be done at Tulsa Spine and Specialty Hospital. Which is where Emma had her tonsils taken out last July. We were happy with the facility then and I'm sure this time will be great too. She has no idea what's in store for her but maybe ignorance is bliss.
Pictures of Emma the Day of Her Dental Procedure
The first is Emma in the waiting room pre-goofy juice. Then, she wanted to take a silly picture. The third is her in the car on the way home after her procedure and the fourth is her after a long nap right before getting some ice cream. See how swollen her bottom lip is on her left side? Poor baby. She went to school the next day and is doing fine now.

Emma's dental visit
This morning I had to take Emma to see Dr. Winder to have some cavities filled. I guess when her molars were forming, they didn't grow completely and left a small hole in the center, it was impossible to keep food completely out of there and decay was only a matter of time.
So, they gave her some versed syrup and about 15 minutes later she was totally out of it. She couldn't sit up by herself, couldn't hold her head up by herself, and if there is such a thing as slurred laughing, she had it too.
They took us back and got her settled with a TinkerBell fleece blanket and some Nitrous Oxide and we were off. She did really well, never made a peep, totally complied (of course the Versed helps with this). She recovered well but was still very confused and emotional. She did really well on the way home until we got here and while I was going to the bathroom and getting her drink and snack, she was chewing on her bottom lip. By the time I noticed what she was doing, she had blood smeared all over face and just kept picking at it saying, "I'm getting this white stuff off my face." I had to try and convince her there was no "white stuff" and eventually the sedative wore off some more so she was more rational. But, now she has hamburger meat for a bottom lip, poor baby. I'm trying to get her to keep some ice on it. She took a really nice long nap and is eating a snack now. I have pictures I'll upload later.

Mini Pom Clinic

Emma participated in the high school's Mini Pom Clinic where she got to go to "Pom Camp" for four days and then perform at a high school basketball game. The theme for the night was 80's so that's why her hair is fixed like this. GiGi fixed her hair since I was teaching dance class and couldn't do it. Travis breathed a sigh of relief since he didn't have to worry about fixing it either. She got to stand by her friend Haven Hartley.
She did a great job and she loved every minute of it. We may have a future Pom dancer on our hands!
Sleeping Beauty
On February 12th I took Emma to the Tulsa Ballet's performance of Sleeping Beauty. She really loved it and had a good time, until the second half of the performance. You see, it started at 8 o'clock and didn't get over until 10:40, so she was a bit tired! It was fun having our "Mommy/Emma" time. And, the ballet was amazing! The sets, costumes and dancing were all top notch, the most beautiful productions I've ever seen in person.
We took a couple pictures. One of Emma in the tiara I bought her at the ballet, one of her posing by a ballet statue (her idea) and one of us together.
Emma's Valentine's Day party at School
She had so much fun. Of course, she liked the candy best. It was fun to see her in her element and with her friends. Again, they were so nice and had a place and a piece of pizza for Abby too! She loves it there and can't wait to be in 4K too. It's amazing that in only 18 months, she will get her wish!

Christmas Parties
Emma and Abby both had Christmas parties this year, Emma at school and Abby at Jerri's. Abby is holding the baby doll she got from GiGi. And a picture of her sitting on Santa's lap. I was proud of her for doing it because there were lots of kids that wouldn't get remotely close to Santa without erupting into fountains of tears.
Emma's school Christmas party was fun and they were kind enough to include Abby. It was "pajama day" at school and since Emma was wearing her pajamas, Abby insisted on it too.

Pilgrim Emma
In November 2009, Emma had a Thanksgiving celebration at school and they got to choose between dressing up as a pilgrim and an indian. She chose a pilgrim so I made her a little scalloped collar tied a hankie around her head and voila' she was a pilgrim! I meant to get a standing full length picture of her dressed up but forgot until we were already buckled in the car.
