I took Emma to her pediatrician's office yesterday for her well-check and she is very healthy. She weighed in at 22lbs and 33" tall. She got her polio shot and didn't cry a single bit, not even a wimper. I think it was all over before she knew it. But, she checked out perfectly healthy and her doctor is pleased with her developmental acheivments. Emma is now caught up developmentally with her peers.
Well, we went to Country Fever again yesterday and had a really great time. We saw Cross Canadian Ragweed at 6pm and they put on a really good show. It was pretty warm since the sun had not gone down yet. But, a great show, nonetheless. We stayed around and watched Joe Nichols . He is famous for singing a song entitled, "Tequila makes her clothes fall off". He was good in spite of that song. Actually it's not really about a girl who strips or anything, more like she drink tequila and it makes her crazy.
Finally, the big show was Brooks & Dunn at 10:30. They were really really great. I had forgotten how much I like many B&D songs! Emma fell asleep as they were taking the stage so yes, she stayed up until 10:30. Again, I had her in the sling and she slept there happily. We made it home shortly after midnight. We all slept in until 9 this morning and I woke up to Emma's feet in my face.
Today we'll be going back to watch Jason Boland and the Stragglers, another Stillwater band. And, depending on how we are all feeling, may stay for the Oakridge Boys. A full weekend, when I should be staying home and cleaning and doing laundry. Oh well, it has been fun and Brooks & Dunn are a lot more fun than laundry!
